My work is Multi Media and reflects experiences that touch my life and that of those close to and around me. Kiln Fired and Furnaced Glass has been a focus of the bulk of my work for the past 10 years. The fusing process of pigment into glass with its mystery and translucency is a constant challenge. By marrying Ancient and Modern technology I am able to produce Glass Windows, Panels, (up to 1.8mx2m) Doors, Platters, Bowls along with Glass and Metal sculptures ~ For Commissions and/or Private viewings please contact me.

Selling artworks from school age, I became a full-time professional artist at 22. As a representational oil painter, I am most interested in how the viewer's perspective effects the sensational and emotional experience of a point in time. I am interested in exploration more than creation. I would call my artwork 'studies'. What I learn in the process is often subtly captured in the finished pieces. I feel a special connection with people who own my artworks and describe that to them the paintings covey the experience I was savoring when I did them.

I love the 'wearable art' aspect of jewellery, how something small and intricately made becomes expressed though the larger whole of the body. Each piece created becomes an outward expression of the inner soul. Since graduating in sculpture from Elam school of fine arts in auckland, i have pursued jewellery studies in auckland, christchurch and most recently jewellery and glasswork in paris france. My influences stem from growing up in the lush wilderness of the south island west coast - the light and dark of fairytales.
