Born in Christchurch, I am a Picton-based writer. The Sounds and the local landscape inspire my writing, both non-fiction and poetry. I have poetry in a number of anthologies including the National Sound Archive. My book Katherine Mansfield in Picton was published by Cape Catley in 2000. I have travelled extensively and lived in a number of countries including England, Tonga, France, Africa and Papua New Guinea. I am National Council delegate for the NZ Society of Authors (Top of the South Branch), belong to the NZ Poetry Society, and am an active member of Marlborough writing and historical groups.
